March 9 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am
The Education Committee brings educators and administrators together with local businesses to enhance the learning environment for our future workforce. The Committee sponsors and coordinates several programs annually, including:
Outstanding Young Adults – recognizing six top high school seniors from each of the three local high schools for their academic achievement and their contributions to their school and community.
Partners in the Business of Education – local public and private schools nominate local businesses for their support of time, expertise, and financial contributions. A luncheon is held in these businesses honor to say thank you.
Career Exploration – connecting local middle and high school students with real professionals in the major career clusters to assist them in their decision making about their future. Held at Eastern Florida State College Titusville Campus.
Passport to Discovery – this is a fun, educational adventure in the community for local elementary school students. With more than 28 activities within the booklet, students learn about their community, it’s history and the environment.
Meetings are held on the second Friday of every month during the school year. For more information on joining this committee or any of it’s programs, please contact Sue St. Cyr at 321-267-3036 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
