Governmental Affairs Update – August 2018

The Governmental Affairs Committee met on Thursday, August 16, 2018.  The committee, led by chairman Al Taylor (Coldwell Banker Coast Realty – Al Taylor), discussed the following:

Lynda Weatherman, with the Economic Development Committee of Florida Space Coast, was our guest speaker at the August meeting. She presented a program entitled Internet Connect Brevard that encourages building community relationships with our elected officials and getting people out to vote.

Al Taylor, the committee chairman, reported that the Candidate Meet and Greet held on July 31st, 2018 was a success and that all the candidates showed up. He stated it will give us something to build on in the future.

The committee will next meet on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at the Titusville Chamber.  There is no additional fee for members to join.  Contact Jan Sanford for additional information at sanford@titusville.org.
