Governmental Affairs Update – February 2017

2017 began with the reelection of Al Taylor as chairman of our committee.  The first few meetings of the year were dedicated to drafting a 2017 Legislative Priorities to be presented to the Board of Directors for their approval at the February meeting.  During this process members of the committee were tasked with verifying information needed to remove some previous priorities as well as add items that have arisen since last year’s draft.  Some bullet points remained and some that had been accomplished have been removed.  The Board of Directors accepted the submitted version that will be sent to our local officials and delegations.  Please consider joining us on the third Thursday of each month here at the chamber office at 8:00 am.
