Titusville Area Visitors Council Update – April 2015

The March meeting featured Eric Garvey, Director of the Space Coast office of Tourism. He discussed ptotential ideas and future plans to uphold the Tourism Office’s motto “improve the qualtiy of life of Brevard County citizens through tourism activity.” He shared predictions of an 8% revenue growth in Titusville tourist tax collection in 2015 and congratulated Titusville on “going in the right direction.”

The status of the project to reprint the “Always in Season” vacation guide was discussed. Although Requests for Proposals were received, the review committee decided to put the project on hold. They will first meet with consultant Brandt Ronat & Co. to strategize how we promote North Brevard as a vacation destination, and ensure an optimal return on investment from the new guide and other Chamber visitor/tourist resources.

The goal of the TAVC is to increase the visibility of the Titusville Area and promote it as the premier destination for vacationing and visiting in florida. If you would like to contribute and are a Chamber member, join us on the third Thursday of each month. The membership fee is $100/year.
