Titusville Area Visitors Council Update – April 2018

The TAVC met on April 19, 2018 at Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant.  The committee discussed the following:

  1. The Titusville Area Visitors Council has released a fourth edition of the Stories and Adventures in Titusville newsletter, which features agri-tourism and blueberry season. Our fifth edition will be a two-part series on fishing fun.
  2. The Titusville Area Visitors Council is in the production stages of adventure itineraries for visitors.  We will pull from knowledge of the area and first-hand experience with various activities, to provide suggested lists of things to do during your 1 and 3-day, 1-2 week and 2 month-long stays in Titusville.
  3. The search for the Titusville Welcome Center’s first visitor from Hawaii has gone social!  We’ve asked our members and community to spread the word on their Facebook and Twitter pages announcing a gift basket to the first Hawaiian resident who visits the Welcome Center.  We have received visitors from all states but Hawaii and we are anxious to “complete the map!”
  4. The Titusville Area Visitors Council is extending its reach beyond Florida to market Titusville as a premiere tourism destination.  We are now providing in-person presentations and brochure distribution at major trade shows and travel agent conferences throughout the Northern Hemisphere.  Council members are able to network with other tourism industry representatives to share the good news about Titusville!

Join us for the next meeting on May 17th at 2:00pm at the Blue Heron @ The Great Outdoors.
