Titusville Area Visitors Council Update – January 2018

The TAVC met on January 18, 2018.

The 2018 Board of Directors have been selected.  They are:

Chairman – Cecil Cornish (Coldwell Banker Coast Realty – Cecil Cornish)
Vice-Chairman – Cinthia Sandoval (Wild Ocean Seafood Market)
Treasurer – Karan Conklin (American Space Museum)
Secretary – Sarah Grindrod (Holiday Inn Titusville/Kennedy Space Center)
Ex Officio – Nancy Evans (Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott – Titusville/Kennedy Space Center)

The committee discussed the following:

1. Trade show participation for the year;
2. The TAVC has released its first tourism newsletter, Stories & Adventures in Titusville.  Committee members will be asked to author blog entries including: agri-tourism, what to do with 24-hours or 3-days in Titusville; Titusville’s new bike trails – easy/hard, long/short treks; fishing; and museum and antique store-hopping.
3. Members are urged to submit new images and video that can be used for marketing purposes.
4. The TAVC will apply for the 2018-19 Visit Florida Cultural, Heritage, Rural and Nature Tourism Grant to produce more photos and 360 video for marketing and advertising purposes.
