Gators and Florida Just Go Together

May 22, 2020 – Everybody misses the big guys. Those gators with the big hungry mouths have always been a Florida attraction. And it looks like our local Titusville area residents and guests are once again invited to see them.

Gatorland and Jungle Adventures have re-opened. So has Airboat Rides at Midway (with one-hour Eco Tours scheduled all day long) and A St Johns River Airboat Tours plans to reopen soon.

Easy to get to, shorter average overall stays and ability to reduce crowds are some of the factors that allow these attractions to re-open.

Gatorland has a 32-page handbook that highlights social distancing and safety. “My folks have done an incredible job including two weeks of enhanced employee training — we’re ready to go, says Gatorland CEO Mark McHugh.”

Gatorland also created a new character — the Social Distancing Skunk Ape — to encourage guests to maintain safe distances. Check the website to be sure: https://www.gatorland.com/

Various reopening plans for area attractions take into consideration overall capacity and the ability to maintain adequate safety, along with all the expected protocols such as hand sanitizer stations, frequent cleanings, employee and guest screenings but went above and beyond to ensure their plans will help reassure guests who elect to visit. Other theme parks and attractions have announced re-opening plans.
