A Launch Too Big for One Booster

October 28, 2022 – The last time a Falcon Heavy launched from here was more than 3 years ago, so you may want to catch the mission scheduled to fly on November 1.

Check out the maps to find the best viewing when this rocket blasts off from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center. This big bad boy needs two boosters to deliver spacecraft payloads, and once they have done the job, the boosters are set to return to Landing Zones 1 and 2 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Expect sonic booms to rattle the windows as they make the descent.

The launch window opens at 9:40 a.m. Keep an eye on the skies.
