Four Launches Scheduled for August

August 2, 2023 – Summer is heating up at the Cape, with four planned launches—three from SpaceX and one from United Launch Alliance. The first SpaceX launch is a Falcon 9 that has a window that opens at fifteen minutes after midnight tonight. It will be lifting an Intelsat Galaxy 37 geostationary communications satellite made by Maxar Technologies and operated by Intelsat. If you’re a night owl, you can watch this one light up the sky.

Next on the rocket docket is another SpaceX Falcon 9, this time  transporting a four-person crew to the International Space Station. Crew 7 will be busy, conducting 200+ experiments, according to NASA.

Then the next day, August 31, SpaceX is at it again, putting up another Falcon 9 with a payload of a batch of satellites to join the Starlink mega-constellation. The goal is satellite internet for the whole planet.

So mark your calendars, look up to the sky and get ready to watch as these ambitious companies launch from here.
