Titusville History Prominent on Holiday Tour

October 29, 2021 – The holidays are almost upon us again (how is that even possible?) and now’s the time to not only look back at this year, but at days long gone by.

The Museums of Brevard Second Annual Historic Homes Holiday Tour will be offering “Pastports” (see what they did there?) starting Nov. 1 and several of Titusville’s star attractions are included on the list.  You’ll want to hurry, the past will only wait until the 150 available tickets are sold. After that, they are history.

The $60 raised from each ticket will be used by participating museums for historical preservation. Considering regular admission to the Lighthouse alone is $25, the full tour is a great deal for devotees of history.

Stops in and near Titusville include the Historic Pritchard House downtown in the ‘Ville, the Moore Cultural Center & Museum in neighboring Mims, Sams House at Pine Island (a little south in Merritt Island) and the 1848 Cape Canaveral Lighthouse. Also included in the tour: Field Manor, Merritt Island; Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, Melbourne and Lawndale in Rockledge.

With pastport in hand, visitors are welcome from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Dec.3 to 19.

Pastports are available at eventbrite.com or if you want to take a chance (remember, there are only 150 of them) you can buy one at the first house you visit.  Happy Holidays and you’ll be singing “Auld Lang Syne” all season long.
