Behind the Scenes in Titusville

Fishing and Walking on pierBehind the Scenes in Titusville

The Launch From Here Campaign is a community-based effort that promotes a place known around the world for space exploration and nature-based recreation–perfect for outdoor adventures nearly every day of the year. Launch From Here is a proud phrase, well representing our exploration legacy and it holds promise for a future rich in possibility for those who join us here.  Launch From Here represents all the things we launch–from rocket ships to cycle races, to business ventures and careers, to families and their dreams.

Who Created Launch From Here?

Launch From Here was created by Brandt Ronat & Company for the Titusville Area Visitor Council of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce. It was supported by funding from the Space Coast Office of Tourism and Visit Florida.

Over the life of the Launch From Here campaign, it has gained the support of many City of Titusville partners and others in the community who recognize the value of teaching people far and near about the joys, possibilities and adventures that are waiting in and around Titusville, Florida.

This season, the efforts turned toward capturing signature images that best portray the area, its character and its offerings.

A special committee of the Titusville Area Visitor Council came up with an excellent location to start this journey to tell the best stories through great images.

Pier 220 is a great location in view of A. Max Brewer Bridge, with waterfront dining, outdoor games, boat launching, and fishing from Veteran’s Memorial Pier, all set along the bike trail. Creating a brand takes time, dedication, excellent ideas and most importantly, a great team. Brandt, Ronat and Company went scouting.

They looked at angles, people positioning and then created storyboard sketches of what we all wanted to bring to life, to include white puffy clouds in a bright blue sky. Once the team saw the drawings, we were sold!  The photography subcommittee then created a prop list and details about each shot and what and who was needed. Community members volunteered, including whole families.

Then, the day came. It was a beautiful day with those puffy white clouds in a blue sky hoped for in the initial sketches. People showed up with fishing poles and gear, skateboards and other outdoor fun props.

The talent (volunteers all) came to the restaurant and Linda and Bill from Brandt, Ronat & Company did what they do best, direct and shoot! The shots looked great and we called it a wrap!

The entire talent and team then enjoyed appetizers and drinks generously provided by Pier 220.

It was a big task that we could not have done without everyone on our amazing team!
