Peace. Quiet. Awesome Beauty.

Sometimes adventure is simply finding peace and beauty in the natural world.
Here–in and surrounding Titusville, Florida—you can’t miss.

The views are everywhere, as the video here will show you, from fishing to kayaking to watching the sun set, from A. Max Brewer Bridge, adventures large and small launch from here.

Titusville’s next door neighbor is the 140,000+ acre Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge with lush Florida habitats, miles and miles of hidden trails, perfect kayak launch sites, manatee hangouts, and more than 300 species of birds, and many significant threatened or endangered species  that call the Refuge home.

Canaveral National Seashore is 24 miles of what many agree is the most pristine and prettiest stretch of Atlantic Ocean shoreline existing today.  Not to be missed is sunrise at Playalinda Beach , which ranks high on many lists of favorite beaches (and favorite memories). Going to the beach from Titusville is much like traveling back in time to when the earliest groups of people lived here. Plan your visit here.

Along Canaveral National Seashore, just to the north of Titusville, you can visit preserved Native American shell middens and explore the lives of early natives at Castle Windy or Turtle Mound. Learn more.

Just want a beautiful drive, go to Black Point Wildlife Drive on the Refuge (fee per vehicle, one way). There are multiple beautiful spots to pull over and get out and walk, plus observation platforms for special views. You can make a slow drive through in about 4o minutes, but you may wish to linger. And bring your camera and a long lens if you have one. Get Refuge Map here.
