Top 7 Reasons to Cruise Port Canaveral

Let’s Cruise!

A few miles south of Titusville, Florida is Port Canaveral, which is home to the 2nd busiest cruise port in the world. Being so busy, you might think long lines and hassle, but Port Canaveral has cruising down pat and many experienced cruisers have said they prefer cruising out of Port Canaveral more than anywhere else!

Port Canaveral is awesome for many reasons, but here are some of our favorites:

  1. It is also the closest port to Orlando’s theme parks and attractions.
  2. It is also within 45 minutes of 4 major international airports: Orlando International, Orlando Sanford International, Daytona Beach International and Orlando Melbourne International.
  3. Port Canaveral cares about the environment. Not only are they Green Marine Certified, they are also dedicated to maintaining and restoring the environment! They even have a children’s activity book about it.
  4. There are also so many ships to choose from. Some of our current favorites are: Disney Dream, Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas, Carnival Breeze and the Norwegian Sun.
  5. Port Canaveral offers a relaxed beachside atmosphere with the East Coast’s Surfing Capital, Cocoa Beach is just steps away.
  6. They have close to the ship parking and beautiful modern facilities, which makes arrivals and departures no-stress.
  7. Port Canaveral is minutes from the Kennedy Space Center, many museums, attractions and of course, Titusville!

Before and/or after your cruise it is always a good idea to stay close to the area. In case of delays, this ensures your fun filled cruise will not have to leave without you! If you are in driving distance, Titusville is the closest city just north of Port Canaveral. Come relax here and check out the largest uninhabited beach in all of Florida, historic downtown, the world’s tallest tandem sky dive jump and many wonderful museums. Whether you are looking for adventure, history or relaxation, we have you covered when you #LaunchFromHere.
