  1. Visit the Manatee Observation Deck! Who does not love Manatees? These slow moving, gentle giants are almost always able to be found right here in Titusville on the refuge. They are sure to be a big hit with the whole family.
  2. Party it up or enjoy time with family at a local event! During your visit check out Titusville.org/Events for a listing of all the events happening in the area. The Downtown Street Parties are always a huge hit, happening the second Friday of every month. This is an excellent way to see what Titusville is all about.puppy at the park
  3. Have a furry friend? Then you have to check out the dog park! Located right next to the Titusville Marina is a dog’s paradise. With places to run free and many places to walk along the water on a leash, it is the perfect place to spend some time with your pup.
  4. What is Titusville known best for? Space! After all, that is one of the many reasons why we #LaunchFromHere. Visit out Space View Park located in Downtown Titusville to put your hands next to astronauts handprints and see monuments that will make you have all the feels of what it was like to soar to the moon.
  5. Trails, Trails, Trails – We’ve got lots of them. One of our favorites? splash padThe East Central Regional Rail Trail, part of three converging multi use trails. This trail currently extends from Downtown Titusville, 35 miles north to New Smyrna Beach and 30 miles west towards Osteen on a paved, off road path. Grab a bike, roller blades or your running shoes and hit the trail!
  6. Have kids? Make sure to stop by the Splash Pad! Located in Sand Point Park, the Splash Pad is always a hit. There are also plenty of places to relax for parents.
  7. Enchanted Forest Sanctuary is a must see in Titusville. This sanctuary preserves a diversity of the natural habitats found in Brevard County to include five basic habitat types and a wealth of other plant life, since temperate and subtropical species grow together. This sanctuary boasts several miles of hiking trails through these habitats so visitors can enjoy the natural beauty.alligator
  8. History Buff? Then the North Brevard Historical Museum is the place for you. This museum has a plethora of artifacts through history, that you will not even believe that it is a free activity! Did we also mention the volunteers are so knowledgeable and friendly?

One of our favorites is Boardwalk which is a ¼ mile loop that offers views of two freshwater ponds, a native butterfly garden and much more. Visit the Merritt Island Visitors Center to find out more!
  10. We could not talk about free vacation things without mentioning our beautiful parks. Our parks are not typical and most of them have amazing nature elements. Fox Lake Sanctuary Park protects more than 2,500 acers of land and offers and immense landscape for exploration including more than 7 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and equestrian use. Chain of lakes park offers playgrounds, fields for sports, trails and an observation deck to see sweeping views of the Indian River Lagoon and the Space Center. Pro Tip: It is also one of the hot spots for alligator sightings!
