Titusville Chamber Announces the 2018-19 Outstanding Young Adult Scholarship Winner
Déja Robinson, a senior at Titusville High School, has been chosen to receive the $1000.00 Outstanding Young Adults Scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year.
Déja was chosen from among 17 qualifying North Brevard seniors, each of whom received a certificate of recognition for their academic performance and in the community. In addition to excelling in school, Déja is a celebrated violin soloist, a recipient of the Lorene McLeod Senator Award and a three-year JUMP mentor. She also has a burgeoning interest in politics. She completed an internship with the 2018 Sanjay Patel Congressional campaign and assisted students in her school to register to vote. In the future, she intends to write books and run a community-centered law firm.
Déja will be honored at the June 12th Chamber Membership Luncheon at Holiday Inn Titusville/Kennedy Space Center – 4715 Helen Hauser Boulevard in Titusville.
The Outstanding Young Adults program is sponsored by Community Credit Union and Jess Parrish Medical Foundation and organized by the Education Committee of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce. The program honors high school students from North Brevard schools, based on academic merit, extracurricular activities and community service. One of these students is awarded a $1000 scholarship to be used toward secondary education expenses.
