Titusville Area Seniors Honored for Achievements in the Classroom and Community
Titusville, September 25, 2018 – The Education Committee of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2018-2019 Outstanding Young Adults (OYAs). These 17 students will be honored throughout the school year at the monthly Chamber Membership Luncheons and will compete for a $1,000 scholarship, sponsored by Community Credit Union and Jess Parrish Medical Foundation.
OYAs are Titusville area high school students, recognized for their performance in the areas of academics, leadership, extracurricular activities, sports, service club participation and volunteer work. The selected students from Astronaut High School, Space Coast Junior/Senior High School and Titusville High School receive a certificate of recognition. One of the 17 students will receive a $1,000 scholarship toward college expenses.

The first three – Lindsey Gordon, Michael Barton and Trevor Denson – will be honored at the October 10th Chamber Membership Luncheon. It will take place at Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant in Titusville and features Dr. Mark Mullins, Superintendent of Brevard Public Schools. Honorees are allowed to bring two guests, free-of-charge.
