What’s charismatic, family-oriented and thinks Brevard County is one of the best places to live in the whole state?

The Florida Scrub-Jay!

Out of the over 330 species that call Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge home, the Florida Scrub-Jay is the only species of bird endemic to Florida. Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge located a short drive away from Titusville, Florida, has the second largest population of these lovable birds within the whole state.

Come see for yourself by visiting Downtown Titusville for the 2019 Florida Scrub Jay Festival held in partnership with Titusville’s Ride It Down: Scrub Jays and Spokes cycling event on Saturday, February 23.
