May 3 Is “Walk Bike & Roll” to School Day

May 2, 2023 – Most days around here are great for the kids to get to school without riding in a car or bus, but when kids all over the country are involved, it’s even more fun.

Locally, Apollo Elementary School is participating in this healthy event, where students get some exercise on the road to learning as part of “Walk Bike & Roll to School”. Held in all fifty states, the event promotes a healthy lifestyle, a cleaner environment (who needs an internal combustion engine when you have feet?), and benefits the community with less traffic, safer streets and economic gains. And it’s fun to “own the street” when all your friends are walking together.

Titusville is an official Trail Town, which means that biking and walking are always encouraged and once children see the benefits, they may make it more of a habit.
