Expect A Warm Welcome in Titusville
When the snow is blowing and the wind is howling and you are shivering right down into your boots, think of us.
We want you to dream about sun, sand and surf, our trails and outdoor fun in Titsuville on Florida’s famous Space Coast. We want you to start planning your next great getaway.
The locals will be happy to see you wherever you go, but to get access to TIPS AND INSIDER INFORMATION — you’ll want to start your journey at the Welcome Center right in the heart of downtown. Why should you make the WELCOME CENTER your first stop?
If you enjoy a bike ride in the warm Florida sun, you can get info on our Converging Trails. Titusville is an official Florida Trail Town, after all.
If you are a bird watcher, or just enjoy seeing the local flora and fauna, pick up a map of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
And speaking of maps, just about anyone will find a map to tickle an adventure fantasy—on everything from Trails, to Iconic Stops to Epic Launch Viewing spots.
So Many Choices.
You came here for the Warm Welcome, and it starts with getting you out into the natural environment everyone loves. This is the place people return to time and again. And in these troubled pandemic times, the wide open spaces and places to explore out of doors makes Visiting Safely easier to do. First on your list has to be trekking out to Playalinda Beach, a favorite Atlantic Ocean beach stop within Canaveral National Seashore , 24 miles of natural Florida shoreline, wild and free.
If it’s way too chilly where you are, trade it for a bit of sun, sand and surf. And if you get bored with the ocean life, LOL, there are plenty of adventures you can enjoy in tennis shoes and shorts, from hiking the Refuge to hunting down murals on the Florida Mural Trail to getting your taste of living where space history is made.
Visit Kennedy Space Center and the American Space Museum (where you are very likely to run into someone who has contributed to the space mission), or stand under the monuments to Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle accomplishments at Space View Park , within walking distance from the Welcome Center. At Space View Park, you can put your hands in the hand prints of NASA astronauts while reading the names honoring men and women, in space and on the ground, who have contributed to this amazing legacy.
The central location of the Welcome Center puts you in the middle of the Titusville action, in easy walking distance to:
TITUSVILLE PLAYHOUSE and new Shuler Stage (outdoor venue)
PLAYALINDA BREWING (in the old Hardware Store)
NORTH BREVARD HISTORICAL MUSEUM (next door to Playalinda)
PRITCHARD HOUSE (historical tours by reservation)
And Murals along the FLORIDA MURAL TRAIL
